About New Mexico Rural Health Association
The New Mexico Rural Health Association was established in 2023 and is the state affiliate of the National Rural Health Association.
NMRHA embraces an interdisciplinary approach to creating and sustaining healthy rural communities by using the CDC Global One Health Framework, which recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment.
NMRHA facilitates collaboration between organizations from all sectors and disciplines working in rural and frontier New Mexico.
Our Mission
Our organizational mission is to advocate for, collaborate with, and champion rural and frontier voices in New Mexico. We aim to identify opportunities for health equity by incorporating all forms of knowledge.
